Already posted the bug for Sony, but be warned...
My level 6 mage was talking to the Duke near the tavern, the screen went blank and I was back at the main character select screen and the character I was playing was no where to be seen. Relogging didn't bring it back either.

I just had a char deleted too. :\
Was playing just fine for a few hours, then the game crashed. When I logged back in I found my char deleted. This happened on Mistmoore server.
I still have my charecter on Najena.

I guess the Mistmoore server is down now. Hopefully the characters are still there when it comes back up again. :o

And sadly, we told the Devs all through beta that players were going to be screaming on Day 1 as soon as the first server went down and everyone's character "got deleted." I guess they like fielding hundreds of angry/horrified forum posts, emails and phone calls rather than just putting a disclaimer on the character select screen that "Characters on "down" servers will not be displayed."
It was a problem that was supposed to have been fixed before the game left beta ('twas in the last patch notes, or the one before that).

disten, i know 2 people doing their last class change quest on RP server - so there are at least a few higher than 15 = P

When a server is down, your characters are not visible. They will magically reappear when the server comes back online.
Yeah I crashed earlier and it looked like my char was deleted. But she came back within a little bit of time. Just have patience and try not to kick your computer too hard.
uh ... well ... server's down now and one of my characters got cloned... anybody had this problem? server is still down so I don't know what's going on.

What do you mean cloned? Login server is down right now, you can't even get to see you characters.

I hope it's just the character server.
yes that's what just happened to me too. I was having dinner so I left my character AFK for about 30 minutes. When I came back the display shows the select/create screen but I couldn't see my char anymore. I thought oh well maybe the sever was down so I logged off. THen I went to the support page and found out the sever I'm playing (Unrest) was down.
that's not a scheduled downtime though. anyone knows what's going on?

Probably just a crash. It happened to me yesterday too for a short while.
