They sure did. And the forums are unusable...eqiiplayers is down...big trouble.
some are back up, but most are still down.
grrrr and i just got my final coin for citezenship........
You should've seen the troubleshooting chatroom in the Launchpad a little while ago. They finally moderated, it was getting impossible to read. So much scrolling by so fast, half of it was people who didn't/couldn't read the banner. Another good portion of it was smartass comments from few-hundred person peanut gallery. There was a fraction of people looking for help that couldn't get a word in edge-wise. It's free comedy in lieu of game /shrug
On the bright side, I learned we don't actually crash in "bad spots" and die logging in anymore -- the system is apparently built to spit you out at the zone entrance rather than in the middle of agro mobs. Nice feature.

Did they mention anything about how long the servers will be down?
first I lost my lvl 9 scout. than I tried relog, than it said I havent register yet. But strange I can edit my account. After I reboot, I can log in again. but the server are down.

You will be ok. Your characters dissapear when the server is down. They do come back. Also, many are having the "not registered" problem. Seems to be part of the same problem causing the servers to go down. All will be good.

Hehe....figures...UPS guy finally gets here with my game, I get it all installed and registered, play for about 20 mins then the whole world goes boom. Must be my fault...sorry all :P
well, got on, and my characters (both of them) are gone!!! ... I've heard the beta testers saying don't worry. I'm not worried, I just want to make sure I didn't loose my journeyman's boots. ... nope, not worried here (bites nails) nope, not at all...

You can get into the chat room, but it's moderated and locked so no chatting is going on. The scrolling header message reads "All servers are coming down or locked for the time being. No ETA at the moment".
So - might as well go to bed or get caught up on some reading, looks like this might be a while.

I've got the troubleshooting chatroom open in another window. Still no ETA on servers coming back up.
If you can get to the Launchpad, open "Chat" >> "Troubleshooting" >> and just keep it up in the background. It's the easiest way to see what's going on. Additionally, there's currently 4 reps there who can answer any other problems or glitches you might have with the game.

Oops, sorry, no, it was me. I cannot tell a lie, I did it with my little hatchet.
FYI You can buy those Jboots from a Vendor in game for real cheap :P

LOL...EQ is down too....man this sucks.
For anyone who can't get into the chatroom, the banner now says all servers are down or locked. Locked is sometimes a good thing, as it means they will generally come back up soon -- but with a brand new release, who knows.
