opps hit enter before i replied, well yeah i was able to log back on, and after that my chr was missing so i decided to make a new chr while i wait for the bug to go away, when i go to chose servers, all servers were on light load yikes, lol
No characters got deleted. ther servers were down, but the login servers were not, so it just seems like characters were deleted. Check for updates in the support chat channel :)

i see, well when i went pick a server for my new chr it said light load on all servers, could be a bug, would be kinda funny
Characters are not deleted. Get into the Launchpad, on the left is a big button that says "Chat". Hit that, and go to the troubleshooting room.
At the top of the chatroom is a banner that will let you know what the status is on servers. Technical Support Reps (TSRs) are also repeatedly spamming that characters are not deleted, they are simply unavailable because servers are down.
Anyone new to the EQ system may not realize this. These chat forums are where all the secrets of the universe are discovered.
For instance, Sony runs it's servers on massive gerbil exercise wheels.. ninjas occasionally steal the gerbils, and Tech Support Crusaders are sent to dutifully retrieve them.
Be kind to your stormtroopers, they make the world Go.

Some of us CAN'T login to launchpad to see what your talking about.
I cant. Ive been down for upwards of an hour. :(
