I just installed EQII on a brand new system last night and keep getting an error when I try to login. When it scans the files and tries to update it comes back with an error about not being able to read the file size of Ip_temp/UI/Default/eq2ui_newcharscene2.xml
The problem is that eq2ui_newcharscene2.xml and eq2ui_playerhousing.xml are both stuck as .gz and aren't decompressing like they should (assuming they should). I'm not sure if this is a problem with the download installer or if I forgot to install something on the new computer.
Any ideas?

Hmmm, haven't heard of that one before. Have you tried deleting the .gz files for those and seeing if it regrabs them? Also you might want to try out a different launcher and see if that works. Currently there's streaming, launchpad and station launcher.
Yea, I deleted the files, deleted the directory containing the files, then deleted and completely reinstalled. Same problem.
I found the other launcher and I'm trying that now.
