Ok, so im back to Everquest, havent played for like 2 years or something, but when i installed it and done with the update and try to start the game i get "Failed to init arial" message, and it closes down...
I have tried every sulotion that iv found, to download the Arial to Arialab, and so on, but nothing helps...
I really whant to try out this game now when in gone f2p for reall, but now on my 5hr trying to fix this error, im kinda bored and out of ides, so do you guys know any FIX for this?

Wow, I haven't seen that bug in like 5 years. Make sure you've actually got that font in Windows. Then I'd try posting in the official Tech Support forums, here:

Poking around the 'net I saw this:
1) Go to to Control Panel --> click Fonts icon
2) Click File in the meny and select "Install New Font"
3) Navigate to wherever your fonts are installed and then hold ctrl + select and highlight all Arial fonts (there are a couple)
4) Select install and click yes on each popup to overwrite
5) Restart computer and start game

Ahh ty, but allready tried that, i have windows 7 so there isn no "2" (Click File in the meny and select "Install New Font")

Nah. It's an old, olde bug. The fix was to reinstall the fonts. Then it'll run. I haven't had to fix it in Win 7, tho. Did you delete the old Ariel first?

Yeah i tried to remove the Arial fonts, but you cant remove them like you can in XP and so on... more secure heavy i think. Tried to remove the fonts in the Everquest 2 map, to have it downloaded when i restart the launcher, but it dosent help eather.

Did you post on the Tech support forums? There are some awesome people there, SOE and players alike, who might have an idea.

Already tried thous out, as i said, think i have serched every forum there is about this without no luck.
I really appreciate your hard work, and that you are trying to help me!
The error is still there, i dont really have any Office products on my computer, and never use them, tried to reboot in safe mode and load the Arial and the game, nothing there.
Downloaded the Arial and ArialB, but dnt work.
Made the shortcut shorter to C:/Everquest2 and so on, and i dont really whant to reinstall my computer to se if it "MIGHT" work or not... darn it... well well :P Peace

You may have already tried this, but what about a reinstall of Windows OVER the one you have now? Not reformatting or anything, you won't lose any data or programs, it should just fix whatever is missing from your current install.

Just fixed the problem here, it was a problem with the arial font that came with windows 7. I installed a font pack from microsoft, rebooted, and it worked just fine:
