SneakFollow

I am growing my ranger (currently 26) and I get a lot of stealth and sneak combat abilities (and some flank or behind abilities) I have been using a lot of the stealth abilities to get the drop on the mobs. However, I have looked and looked and I do not see sneak anywhere. do you have to make a macro just so you can sneak? I guess i will have to replace all my sneak abilities (like emberstrike) and replace them with something i can actually use.

How do you know what quests you have done. my Barb Zerker (played 50/50 in new halas and GFay) so I wanted to finish up my GFAY quests. however I am not sure what quests I have done so I do not know if the line has been triggered or I have to do other quests to get to the new area. I just know where are a lack of pink feathers and red books in the crushbone area.

You should have an ability called sneak attack that when used puts a shroud on you (after you strike with it) that allows ember strike and ranger's blade to become useable but only when fighting from the side or behind. So if soloing you can stealth up and use sneak attack but then the mob turns around which nullifies the use of the 2 sneak attacks, so I always use cheap shot, sneak attack then one of the 2. Cheap shot stuns the mob to you can position yourself. Sometimes the mob will still turn with you which can be frustrating.

If your in a group just be in the right position and sneak attack all you want.

As for the quests question. Just open up your journal and look at the bottom tabs and you'll see the one titled completed.

Good Luck and have fun.

I might not be understanding what you're asking, but Stealth and Sneak should be the same thing. The icon is yellow and has a silhouette of a head on it.

Also, at the bottom of your quest log, there's a tab that's for finished quests. But if you want something more visual, you can turn on quest feathers for gray quests in the Options. That way you can run through an area and all the quests you haven't done will show up. The feathers for outleveled quests just don't glow as brightly so you can tell that they're lower level.

He was wanting to use 2 melee abilities: emberstrike and ranger's blade which require you to be sneaking. For a ranger stealth and sneaking are 2 different modes I guess you could say. Stealth allows just to move around invisible. Sneak ( for an EQ2 ranger) is obtained by using a melee attack called sneak attack which puts you into sneak mode (or shrouded as it says) and then emberstrike and ranger's blade can be used. The positioning of the ranger is important to even be able to use those attacks also. And I figured he wanted to know which quests he completed already.
