One of the things I love about the warlock class is the immense ability to solo just about anything. If it can be feared, it will die. I've solo'd mobs that were meant for raid groups in the past, which shows just how powerful the class can be.
I was thinking about things to try, and someone in the guild mentioned the Princess in Mauradon. I thought it was a pretty cool idea, and I went along with thoughts along the line of "I'm going to die a horrible death". Strangely enough, I didn't. And I was rewarded with a Gemshard Heart[ http://wow.allakhazam.com/item.html?witem=17707 ] for my troubles - an Item which I had all but given hope up on getting. To show how rubbish the itemisation is in the higher level instances, this necklace can be compared with a Star of Mysteria, which drops on the liveside in Stratholme [ http://wow.allakhazam.com/item.html?witem=12103 ], which often takes a considerable amount of time to do in a 5 man party. Risk vs Reward issues here? Hmm..
2 other Blues dropped, which I vendored for 7g. It came to me that this is a ridiculously good way of making money, possibly on par with SM.
So, I went again. And then again. Since the first try, I've got the time down to 6 minutes from entering Mauradon to the death of the princess, which is quite ridiculous.
Quite a few from my guild didn't believe me, so I loaded up fraps and recorded a run. If people want a copy, I'll try find somewhere to host it.
Regardless, this has pretty major implications for the economy, and people could get rich very quickly with hardly any effort.
Here's hoping Blizzard fixes it soon! :\
