OK, it is a bit early here, but the owner of the local XiBei restaurant (Northwestern Chinese Muslim fare) has invited me to join them to drink in the new year (mare's milk spirits apparently don't count). I'll post this now, in anticipation of possibly failing to be able to find the keyboard later.

New Year! We just did this like 3 weeks ago. At least that one entailed less cleaning, friends have got us into the spirit of things with decluttering and cleaning this place up to welcome in good luck et al.
To really declutter this place we need a bigger house, but we're doing what we can.

The folks at the XiBei place made sure that I had jiaozi ... and that toasts made me drink most of a bottle of mare's milk spirits. For me, the best part is that I get to hear from my daughters, various of the cute and fluffy ones and old friends. Three of four daughters checked in and the missing one is forgiven because she is horribly overloaded this year (and warned me that she would be).

Blast, I'm temporarily out of wine and have a few hours of peace and quiet before the morning barrage begins! I'd better try to get some sleep.

Milk spirits? As someone who loves milk, that sounds awesome. Milk that gets you drunk? What could go wrong with that!? Smiley: grin
