The one and only time I've called Blizz support, I was very thoroughly impressed by their service. I had to spend like ~25min on hold, that part mildly sucked, but it was Totally worth it.
Mom had been banned for the second time for supposed botting (she wasn't; I checked her computer multiple times, nor would she know how to) and we decided to restart her account and she'd just farm less. She was perma-banned the 2nd time; they refused to re-instate her account.
Well, an error occurred when trying to upgrade her 2nd account to a BC one (she wanted another Draenei Paladin because that's what she had before), and I had to call Billing.
While on the phone with Billing, the very friendly rep got into a convo with me and I explained why we were doing what we were doing and he goes "wait, what, she was banned?" and I go "yeah... they kept telling us that we were botting and 'excessively farming'" and then I went on to explain that mom's got health problems and she doesn't have a job (she's a housewife obviously) and she's older.
Then he goes "well I got a friend in AA, give me a min" and well, like 10-15min later he comes back and says something like "I think we can get that taken care of for you". Well, in appreciation for what they did, I told them to put BC on the 2nd account anyways even though it wasn't needed; I could always use another RaF and RaF mount. lol.
So, I called them with the intention of just getting the TBC upgrade to work, and wound up re-instating a "permabanned" account.
Very much appreciative of the excellent service I received. To this day we're happily playing WoW, and ever since we drastically cut our farming efforts back (and the fact we do a lot more dailies than farming these days), we've not been threatened, banned, or anything of the like.
