I am pretty excited because I am ready to see new content. I hope that they do something exciting for crafting, but I also look forward to new abilities.

Well I am interested in the different weapons. Eastern martial weapons can be interesting. I personally want to see Kama in the game.

It is called an expansion. An add-on is programming code you download to make changes to the interface of the game. Smiley: tongue

That said, I am looking forward to the changes, but I can't exactly say I'm excited as i'm not sure if I will continue playing after my annual pass expires.

I doubt you'll see any new weapon types, they're already trying to standardize everyone (Agi 2Hers are staves/polearms since hunters can't use 2H maces, et cetera). You may see eastern-inspired models though.

They already put the best weapon models in the game: arena season 3 and 4 models.

Season 3 for 1h weapons (swords and daggers), season 4 for 2h.

I never get excited about betas. Once you all finish debugging it, I'll decide whether I care. Trouble is, excited or not, we're all going to eventually have to fork over the cash to get the levels and toys.

What is this cost of which he speaks? We may pay for game time by the minute, but we don't get charged for expansions. YMMV. Smiley: cool

For the sake of clarity: that isn't some kind of private server reference. Servers in China are run on a different billing model. Currently, 30 RMB buys roughly 2 days, 18 hours /played. The good -- we don't buy the expansions. The bad -- we have yet to get an expansion when the rest of the world does, and those long "make a sandwich" flights eat game time.

Um, no. I know I'm being pedantic here, but I'm an English major, so it's my job. An add-on and an extension are only the same thing when you are speaking of web browsers (i.e. Firefox calls them add ons, Chrome calls them extensions. I don't know what IE calls them because it's a crap web browser and I haven't used it in over 5 years). When it comes to MMO's they are entirely different things.

Im not exactly excited for MOP but im quite interested. Just with all the changes will it still feel like the game iv been playing for the last 6 years or will there be enough changes to actually turn me off playing WoW. just a couple of the questions wanting to be answered.

However alot of the items and mounts do look cool with the whole Asian feel and thats always a plus in my books

When it comes to expansions, I'll admit that I don't usually get too excited. Don't get me wrong: I like new things, but I usually get excited when I actually start playing the new expansion. The lead up isn't as enticing for some reason. As for this particular expansion,
I always like new races and classes, so that's good. I'm also pretty excited about Ragefire Chasm, since I've never had a good experience there, and I think it's about time they did something about that. I'm not as excited about the new Talent trees because I *do* like making choices every time I get a new level, and since I mainly solo, those choices really don't affect anyone else. The whole "We need to make your choices for you so you don't choose the wrong thing" irritates me. Sometimes, as a solo-er, I *like* to deliberately choose the "wrong" thing because it's also the thing that's more fun. The endgame stuff will probably change again before I get there :). I just spend too much time on alts.

Am I the only one bothered by "Pandoria?" It's Mists of Pandaria.

Also, the cost will probably be about the same as all of the other expansions when they came out.

He just figured out what MoP was a couple days ago. I was cutting him some slack on the spelling. Smiley: tongue

That explains it lol. I don't venture out of =21 too much. I live under a rock! You know that!

I am looking forward to it.

I've come to the realization that I still love playing a priest the most of all, and will be race changing my main to a Panda.

New mounts, pet battles, farmville, challenge mode dungeons, multiple new LFR raids, new profession items. It's gonna be fun. Smiley: nod

I'm pretty psyched. Improvements to archaeology and player housing in the form of farms. Heck yeah!

Of course I was psyched for archaeology in Cata and that didn't work so well... :-(

Lately I've been grinding Archaeology for the Scepter of Azj'Aqir . I'm looking forward to new items.

I must admit, at first I was extremely sceptical about the whole Panda, Pet-Battle, Talentchange announcements.

But the more I read, the more my anticipation rises. I'm still no fan of the talent change (I like "boring" talents, thank you very much Blizzard). But almost every other new information, be it about the raids or something small like the latest UI improvement, sounds really good to me.

I am not excited. And I was pretty excited for Wrath and Cata, read updates and watched trailers and all that kind of thing. I can't even be bothered to read much about MoP or look at the new talent trees or anything. I don't think it's because the expansion won't be good or Blizzard are idiots or Ghostcrawler HAETZ MAH CLASS OMG or anything like that. I just think it's age. Shut UP I mean the game's age, not mine. These days even though I've been playing a lot, I've got a very Dread Pirate Roberts attitude toward WoW: Good night, Azeroth. Good work. Sleep well. I'll most likely kill you in the morning.

This is not to say I won't buy it. If I haven't got anything better to play, I will. But that's just it with WoW - it will always hold a special place in my heart, but I'm kind of ready to move on to something new and fresh, and it's become a placeholder until something better comes along. Thankfully this is not my approach to husbands.

The one positive thing for me is that Pandarian companions are so totally obnoxious that I am happy I'll finally be allowed to kill some.

You think they're obnoxious, you should see this lizard companion I have on SWTOR. Oh wait, wrong forum...

Just saw this on MMO:

Priest:
Halo: New. Creates a ring of Holy energy around you that quickly expands and grows in power, up to 30 yds away. Deals up to 18487 to 30811 Holy damage to enemies, and up to 0 healing to allies, with the greatest effect at 25 yds. 28% of Base Mana, 30 yd range, 2 sec cast, 60 sec cooldown.

Cascade: New. Launches a Holy bolt at the target that grows in power as it travels, which causes up to 13557 damage to an enemy, or up to 13557 healing to an ally. This effect can bounce from allies to other allies, or from enemies to other enemies. Each time it bounces it will split into 2 bolts, preferring farther away targets, and never hitting the same target twice. Cascade can bounce up to 4 times. 14% of Base Mana, 40 yd range, Instant, 25 sec cooldown.

OMG, chain heal and "You have become the holy bomb"

Yes please.

Up to 0? So it could do negative healing?
