Odd.
Ran it twice just a bit ago with a Spriest, hoping to get the staff (she's got Ahune's scythe, bleck).
No staff or helm, but it was fun.
One thing that I noticed right off is the amount of freaking cloth the mobs drop. I expect this to be hotfixed, lol. They drop cloth comparable to what you'd find in a 5-man dungeon, so each run of the scenario, I'd walk away with 80+ embersilk. I've already made three embersilk bags out of two runs, and it was awesome.
As for the scenario itself, I only did the Alliance version and I found it enjoyable. Hardcores and Raiders will say it is way too easy, but then they need to understand that it is geared for people wearing 353 gear, and it is tuned for 3x DPS. Bringing a tank or a healer in there (or a prot paladin who can do both) is going to make it a lot easier, especially if one of the DPS also works half-decent as an off-healer (I threw a few heals myself), and in the second run, we had a Holy paladin and an Arms Warrior who easily took care of just about everything in there.
It reminds me of a mini-dungeon crossed with a mini-battleground (there's bosses and objectives, like 'blow the ships, collect the banners, destroy the siege engine'), only you fight mobs instead of players. Non-elite mobs have about 2x the health as a normal solo mob, while elites have about 450k IIRC. Bosses have ~1.5M, 'cept the last one has nearly 3M. As long as you avoid the mechanics (you need to pay at least some attention), you should be fine, their auto-attacks don't hit that hard. Their mechanics, though, can shave 20-30k off of your health each time you get nailed by it, so if you've got 3 DPS classes that has very little healing, you might want to make sure you avoid the bad stuff.
And at the end, just like holiday dungeons, you get a goodie bag and 140 JP. Takes about 15-20min if you know what you're doing. Faster if you've got geared players, obviously. The said goodie bag has a chance of giving you a 384 helm or weapon tuned to your class (but not necessarily your spec; the holy paladin got a tank helm and an elemental shaman got an agility axe).
