As many of you know, I decided to come back to WoW after an extended break to partake in the newest expansion. After 2.5 weeks back, I haven't regretted that decision for a single second. One thing I've noticed, however, is that my playstyle has completely change.
During the time I played Cataclysm, launch until February of this year, I was a severe altaholic. I levelled 2 new characters from 1 to 85 (priest and rogue) and 4 other characters from 80 to 85 (death knight, rogue, warrior, and paladin). I also have another 81 death knight and a 70 shaman. My 85 death knight was the closest thing I had to a main, but her raiding experience was limited to the first half of Dragon Soul via LFR. I mainly levelled alts, worked on professions, and did dailies.
Flash forward to today. I re-rolled to a new server to play with Noc and Theo. I started working on yet another death knight and we are planning on doing some 3v3 arena, another aspect of the game I haven't really experienced. We've all also expressed interest in seeing all of the PVE content, which is something I haven't done for any expansion to date. Last night I started doing some of the battle pet quests and immediately got hooked. I was reading the Wowhead preview of moP and saw all of the different factions to grind rep with. I also decided I'm finally going to knock out the Loremaster achievment on one character AND start doing some achievement hunting.
With all of that on my plate for the foreseeable future, when will there be time for alts? I am still intent on having a maxed character of every class on the same faction of one server, but it may be yet another expansion before I can achieve that goal. Even with a level 25 guild and full BoAs, levelling 10 alts from 1-90 will take a long time. And that's time I just may not have.
