For what it's worth, I asked to get my Admin status reinstated so I can at lease police the spam posts again
Hi all! Been a few months; got a new computer and didn't save my password, so I'm currently out of being an Admin. I've still been around lurking though. Might as well chime in my own choices for the sale:
Bioshock Infinite: Season Pass: Bought for $9.99. Already finished episode 1. Man am I rusty at this game...
Banished: The reviews of this are wonderful; it's apparently Sim City meets Dark Souls. A "survival city builder."
Darksiders II: Suggested it to a friend as well, who has already put 15 hours into it.
Dishonored: GOTY edition: Positive reviews and word of mouth put this on my radar. Plus, even with all the DLC, it was on sale for only about $10-11.
Don't Starve: Reign of Giants: Was on the wall about this one, as I "only" put about 20 hours into the base game, never beat it, and eventually gave it up as repetitious. We'll see.
Dust: An Elysian Tail: Was about $3.00 last night and had pretty good reviews, so why not?
Europa Universalis IV: Extreme Edition: EUIV seems to be the most complex game in its genre. Even after watching about 10 hours of Let's Play videos, I have a feeling that it's going to take twice as many hours of playing to understand what the heck I'm doing.
Goat Simulator: I just had to. Got it during the 40% sale.
King Arthur's Gold: The Let's Play videos made it look hilarious. It's Terraria meets Worms Armageddon. Can't go wrong with that!
Star Wars: KOTOR II: Never played it back when it first came out, but I've heard great things about it. Plus, there are plenty of patches and mods to make it even better now.
The Walking Dead: Season II: Will probably wait to play this until all the episodes are out. I also need to replay Season 1 (or at least 400 days) to make sure I have an optimal set-up. Not sure if it'll make a difference...
Still on my wishlist are:
Crusader Kings II: I missed the Flash Sale
Dark Souls II: It's been on 33% discount all sale long, but I'm holding out for 40-50%. I may just wait until winter, as just between EU, KOTORII, Banished, and Darksiders II, I have several hundred hours of gaming. I'm thinking of the same thing for Assassin's Creed IV; I really want to play the game, but I can wait.
Edit: Oh, and I've probably made about $5.00 in card sales. I've still ended up spending around $50-60 though, so it's not that great.
