are shamans good for meleeing and are they good solo players?
Trying to find a fun class to play that also can handle things alone, and i'm thinking warriors are too boring.

I dunno... Yeah Shaman be good, also a Monk. But for a solo type... I would go for the Melee-Warrior... balance him between a melee and meat shield. That way, you can still take hits while hitting harder than the average tank. Just needs a lot of drinks.

Or make a bard, and build up his str, stam, dex, agl. The bard has tick-heals and mana regen, stat-buffs, etc.

IMO, Bards are the best soloers and really fun to play. You have very little if any down time, don't have to buy drinks or food. Just sing your way through the xp.

If you plan on doing ALOT of soloing I recommend SK.They have good attacks and those drain abilities to restore health with.
Other good soloing classes are bard ,necro and ranger.Ranger is good b/c you get the forage ability which lets u regen health.I've herd that pallys are good at soloing too, but i dunno cause i've never tried it.As for soloing a shammie lower lvls its easy to solo but as lvls get higher it becomes more difficult and takes near forever to kill anything.
Well I hope this helped some.

Up through 32, my mage can solo pretty well. It gets kind of difficult, about every 5 level, because you are only one away from a new round of pets, but then for the next 2-3 levels it rocks again.

As for Pallys, I can solo mine (31), but it is pretty slow going. You can take down whites and yellows (non-casters) but only if you can use lay hands, and even then it is close. As for blues, there is not a whole lot of down time, but it is noticable. So I probably would not pick Pally, if you are indending to solo on a regular basis.

I've managed to solo pretty dandy with my damage path druid. Especially now that I have the Charm Animal CM, I can just charm up a pet, send it afterwhat Else I want dead, Cast some DoT's n nukes and let the pet take the beating. When the pet is near dead, and the charm wears off, I just kill it for it's loot. win-win situation. But that's just my experience. Diff ppl play diff ways and distribute stats differently so it all depends on what you prefer.

If any one is still reading this i HIGHLY recomend a SHD. they get the life tapping procs, they deal the most dmg out of any tank class, and they get the blood wasp spells(for the blood path) and for sticky situations you have your Harm touch(which at lvl 27 it does around 1100-1200 dmg for me). i can solo all whites almost all yellos(noncasters) and some reds(noncasters that are just barely rred to me) so if you wanna go for soloin go the SHD way, as they ARE the best.

o yea palys suck at soloin i suggest not use them
