Before i begin i would like to say i know i am going to get a vast amount of flaming for this but i just have to get this off of my mind being a star wars fan and reading this and many other sites for months.
(Correct me if i am wrong.)As i see it SWG takes places right after a new hope correct? At the point and time in the star wars saga they aren't very many jedi thriving throughout the universe. So in respect to that, the devs are well over the jedi limit in the current time period. The main aspect of SWG was supposed to be the entire stars wars universe A to Z. Which there are doing very well in my opinion.
What seems to baffle me is all the people complaining about unlocking their fs slot, when they could just go play Knight of the Old Republic if they want a Jedi Right Here, Right Now.
I welcome any logical debate on this post.

I think this has been debated for quite some time on several boards. There are several reasons despite the role play aspect you are speaking of why this whole fs slot is messing up the gameplay a little. I am not annoyed by this as it is a game and some will do what they do regardless. Two of the worst are......
The lag time in cantinas with afk entertainers trying to get master ent with macros.
The lack of anything worth buying on the bazaar at times because nobody is crafting quality merchandise because they are all working to become master pistoleers or whatever the holocron tells them they need.
Etc.... No way I am going to list all of the reasons but there are more. I do not wish to become a jedi at this time if I get it from the professions I choose to master then so be it it was my destiny. lol.... There are those who do however and they will keep on doing what they do regardless. KOTOR is a wonderful alternative though I certainly agree there.
