First started on my LS forum.

Post here what you consider to be the Top 10 games you've ever played. It can be from any system; from the Arcade days to the PS3, Wii and Xbox 360.

Heres mine:

10) Chrono Trigger
9) Final Fantasy VII(A very nice story but for some reason I can't think highly of it; still, its a excellent game)
8) Harvest Moon(While its a very simple concept for a game, it is very well done and i think its still the best of the Harvest Moon series up to date)
7) Soul Calibur 3(Best fighting game)
6) Banjo-Kazooie(Best platformer ever, IMO)
5) Final Fantasy IX(2nd best Final Fantasy story)
4) Ace Combat 5(Best flight sim. game out there, IMO, simply because it takes all the great stuff from the other simulators and puts it together with a GREAT storyline)
3) Kingdom Hearts II(While the combat might be simplistic, i think it works pretty well with its balance of platformer and RPG)
2) Gears of War(Best shooter, duh)
1) Final Fantasy XII(Best story, best game content, best replay value, best RPG, best game)

There ya go. My top 10 games of all time(so far); now, post here what you consider to be the best ones and what ppl should definetly consider playing if they have a certain system. For those who wonder about FFX and Metal Gear Solid they are, respectively, number 11 and 12 on my list.

Cheers

P.S. While you may disagree with the opinion of the other posters, dont start a flame war or anything over it; this thread is all about what others think is the best(i know it kinda goes w/o saying but...).

I think by far that Final Fantasy IX had one of the best story lines. It was a lot deeper and a lot more meaningful than most FF in the series. For game play, I think tactics wins for me, but its hard to decide for that one.

I don't really play many games, but I'd say FFIX, XI and tactics would be near the top, because usually even after I find another game I really enjoy, I always end up coming back to those three and having just as much fun as the first time I played.

Didn't include MMO's, since they don't really compare to other games. This is probably the only list without any Final Fantasy games. I was a Nintendo fanboi as a kid, and I never really had access to FF7/8/Whatever.

10. Soul Caliber III
9. Roller Coaster Tycoon series
8. Banjo-Kazooie
7. Worms 2/Armageddon/World Party
6. Ms. PacMan
5. Starcraft and Warcraft III
4. Super Smash Bros. Melee (so much replay value)
3. Super Mario 64
2. Katamari Damacy (yeah, that's right.)
1. Ocarina of Time

I like to put in my plug for:

Galaga>All

Thank you.

And Civilization II was fun. So was SimEarth and the Sims Spooky park Expansion. I also liked Kaboom and Riddle of the Sphinx (both for Atari). And Ages of the Empire.

I admit, there was a around a 15 year gap between my Atari and my next Console so some of this stuff, I don't know. I did like many of the earlier Final Fantasies.

There were a lot of games that excelled at some aspect that I wanted to list, like Ico, Shadow of the Colossus, Rez, Harvest moon, but felt that overall the games I listed were better. I chose not to number my list.

Commodore 64? I had a spiderman game on that, it was pretty epic.

I preferred the spectrum we had though.
