Hello Guys

I need a serious advice from all of you playing EVE atm. I have just received an email asking me to come back (free 7 days etc) and I am contemplating doing that.
I have a question about the game though - I have been away since 2004 so my skills will be probably way behind all of the other players and I am still in the Tempest/Raven - do I stand a chance ? I dont want to come back just to get blown to pieces after going through the first gate ;-)
Just wanted to get your feedback on the current situation (guilds, PKers etc)

Thanks for any info !!!

well if you've played before, your skills are probrably beyond my own, a new character 2 months old...I have yet to get blown up by PK'rs and such. Not sure exactly what you're looking for, but this is my experience.

I returned to EVE in late 2006 after approximately 2 years. A 2003 character with 6million SP's. And Im having a blast.

Yes, it is possible to get ganked with the first gate you jump through. As it has always been, EVE is a non-consensual PVP game. However, fly smart, and dont fly anything you cant afford to lose, and you'll have a great time.

I was going to expand on this a little more, but I think Im going to write something a little more extended.

"Surviving the EVE experience" coming soon (TM)

I would definately say yes. If you want to get your confidence back since you've been gone for an extended amount of time, just work Empire space for a bit. If you don't see yourself getting into it again, the week free did its job: it gave you a fresh perspective. :D
