went looking on internet a couple days ago when i heard about a series called "Total War" for Windows. It looks pretty good to me since i like strategy games and such but i was wondering if anyone had played one of these games and liked it before i go out and buy it.

I've heard good things about that series, haven't played it myself, WoW and WC3 TFT occupy all my time.

I have the first one; Midevil: Total War and imo I thought it was really fun. When you go into battle you can get bonuses and such depending on your tactics. ex. you get a bonus for occuping the higher ground, or if you are on your opponents flank, etc. Over all I thought it was a fantastic game. Kinda like risk with some actual battle tactics thrown in.

Rome:TW is the best Army strategy game i have ever played. By a long long long long way.

Medieval:TW was the second in the series after Shogun:TW.

I also saw this and am debating getting it. So many games, so little time!

Shogun: Total War was awesome. By definition Rome: TW was better but Shogun always interested me more, probably 'cause Japan is just better than Europe.
