Yes, I equiped a sword that binded to me. Now I can't unequip it. Please, someone tell me there is a NPC somewhere that will be able to unbind equipment. Or do I use it til it breaks... if it ever does.
You should be able to unequip it. But since it's binded to you, you will not be able to sell/trade it to another player. Have you tried equipping something else there or right-clicking on the sword while it's equipped through the character screen to take it off?
If it is equipped and you cannot remove it from your slot, you are bugged. Otherwise it is working as intended, meaning you can only sell to a vendor.
Wasn't their something on the official boards about cursed items awhile back?

This is similar to EverQuest 2 and other MMOs. It provides a better balance to the item system overall.
i agree with Darqflame...if you cant unequip it your probably bugged, but if you havent tried putting another item in that slot then please do so...i doubt there are cursed items this early in the game but i've been wrong before...and as for general "bind on equp" ...i think its a great feature...but thats imo which im sick in the head

Hit F7 and put in a ticket explaining your problem to the GMs. You usually get a reply within an hour and as long as you explain your problem clearly they will help you.
Oh and let us know the outcome. Especially if it turns out there are cursed items.

If you didn't get a pop up box when you tried to equip saying 'equipping x item will bind it to you permanently do you want to continue?' then it was already bound when you received it. Quest item gear is an example of gear already bound to you when you receive it.
Also if you don't know how to unequip go to your character paned (c) and just left click the item. As far as I've experienced in 6 weeks of playing there is no gear that cannot be unequipped.
