For the iron tools (Mining Pick, Farming tools etc.) that reduce time, do they only work on a certain part of the trade or for all aspects?

I've heard both, so I have no idea.

I had a nice set of player made tools (ore pick, wood cutter's axe and tailor's tools) during closed beta and I never noticed any reduction of time while at the workbench or forge. The only time I ever saved was in the duration of the harvest cycle. But just that was worth the cost.

So with farming tools, it's better to keep a bronze one around just to save on repair costs for the seed/product workbench part?

Yeah, They have a higher rating number so you repair them less often. I also remember them being very pricey on the AH throughout closed beta.

IIRC, 400 silver was often the starting bid on tools with a buyout usually going higher than a gold. I "stole" my set by catching auctions that were about to expire late at night when no one else was around...

Smiley: yikes Luckily the price isn't that high right now... it's only at about 70ish Silver for the pick at least, which seems to be the most popular atm. Of course, the funny thing is, you'd think they would sell the least because anyone who wants one can just mine the ore for themself and ask the metalworker to make it for them... It could be that it's just one of the few that have dropped atm though, but still they seem to sell like hotcakes.
