Hello all ^^ I recently emptied out my bags of all the useless stuff I've picked up since I started playing. Much to my surpise I managed to dredge up enough silvers that I can now buy an instrument.
Am I correct in understanding that buying an instrument will not effect my minstrel at all? I'm level nine if that matters. The other question I had was is there a way to hear what the particular instrument sounds like before purchasing?

The basic instruments wont effect at all... though I hear higher level ones have song modifiers on them. But, no one can make those atm I believe. As for what they sound like, i'm sure there is someplace you can find a preview, but I don't know one personally. Try the o-forums maybe?
I checked the music section of the LotR forums but I didn't see anything about what they sounded like. Posts seemed to indicate that other instruments do not have the range of the lute at the moment so I guess I'll try that ^^ Thank you for your response
Well I did say it was a possibility... Though I really do think there is file out there somewhere.
As for the lute thing, they do have the most natural range imo. Flats and sharp (well, they aren't technically flat and sharp, but the higher and lower notes) sound a bit off to me.
