If you can't get into a solo instance, Turbine can't help you. This isn't a rant or a hate thread against Turbine. Just some friendly information from someone who cannot complete there lvl 30 Hunter class quest and subsequently cannot obtain the xbow I wanted or the class trait (meaningless one), informing anyone else who finds themselves in my situation, to not waste time submitting a bug report or even a gm report.

Apparently, it's a travelling issue. And normally, they would have you create a fellowship and just follow them in. However, this "work around", will not work for solo instances. Well, becase there solo. The GM I spoke with also said they were previously "aware" of this issue, but as of yet have no fix what so ever to counter it.

So take it from me, there is nothing to do but to suck it up and move on. It will suck bullocks though knowing that everyother hunter my level and higher will have a better bow/xbow until such a time I can find one that either equals it or surpasses it. Which needless to say, will mean to a point I got jyped out of the fun from doing the quests. Oh well, life goes on I suppose.

I will say this however, they need to fix this because I know the people this happens to in the future, will probably not take it as gracefully... That is not to say I am not pissed mind you!

p.s. This is merely an informatory post.

Seems to me an easy fix would just be to lower the level of the mobs a few levels, and/or take out some to make it more solo friendly. HOWEVER, something you said makes me wonder something:

That sounds like it's just you personally having trouble and others have completed it. That isn't a problem with the quest/instance but rather the player.

Maybe the instance is a little hard in general though and people are having trouble, I don't know.

No the problem is that if this happens you wont even be able to enter the instance at all. When you click on, "travel now" it brings up the loading screen for a second and pops you right back to where you were standing. The GM I spoke with called it a traveling issue. So I will call it that as well lol.

Anyway, in the long run it's not that big of a deal and hopefully wont adversely effect my character. I will one day get a better bow/xbow and the trait seems a bit useless from the description so I probably would not have slotted it anyway.

That same GM also gave me the impression that this is not limited to just the lvl 30 hunter class quest. But could also happen to any instance in the game. The difference being, in a fellowship instance, you can break the fellowship, rejoin it and continue on. In a solo instance however, it's just you the whole time. The GM also said they are aware of the issue and they are working to resolve it.

This was basically just an informatory post to let people know that if this happens to you, turbine is aware of it. Submit a GM report and hopefully you can move on. As I will be moving on lol.

Ahh, I didn't realize you couldn't even get into the solo instance... My eyes glanced right over the first line of your post where you said "if you can't get into a solo instance" for some reason. Well, I did just wake up when I read the post >_>

I have never once suffered a problem with instances. o_O On the subject of them, however, I would like to bring up how amazing the Lvl. 15 Minstrel class quest is.

lol yeah I found that one funny too! The first time I did it, it took me like 20 minutes to figure out I had to actually "use" the song I wrote down...rofl

Actually, I had that happen to me duinfg the open beta.

It was on the Chapt 3 quests. I tried talking to the hobbit, and would respawn where I talked. I tried doing it in a group, and it wouldn't let me travel first. I could travel to my fellowship, but when I did, we automatically failed the quest. I talked to a GM, and they said to cancel the quest, and retry. Nope.

So I kinda just figured I was SOL, and would never progress in the storyline past chapter 3. Or, I could delete my char, since I had done ch 3 with 2 other chars before this. But I REALLY didn't feel like delivering all those pies and letters again... >>;;;

But.... That was open beta. I installed the full game, and lo and behold, it works now.

So, maybe try reinstalling your software? Who knows. Maybe it'll help.
