Does LotR require a credit card?

Or is it the same in that you can buy game cards with no credit card? Similar to World of Warcraft, for example; I didn't need a credit card for it.

You can buy 60 day game cards for LOTRO. When I picked my copy up from Best Buy they had a bunch of them.

I'm an idiot, I did the same thing with WoW. Bought the game, installed it, forgot you needed a gamecard or credit card ON TOP of the free play period.

Just went out and grabbed a card. Thanks.
