quote from official forum:

"My pet peeve is the expectation that this game will (or should) have an "end" game implemented on the wow model. NEWS Flash people it will not."

ok, thats a really good idea, frankly one i thought beyond the likes of turbine

no item grind - ad infinitum , will moderate the kiddee bish factor, and the headbanging boredom factor

so what is the end game going to be like?

I don't understand why so many people are concerned what end game is like right now. Seems to me they are missing the whole point of the game so far which is a great leveling experience 1-50. How many people are lv50 already anyway? Enjoy the game till lv50, then when you get bored, thats when the end game questions should start. I get the feeling that people make this to be about endgame and then just rush through 1-50 without enjoying the meat of the game. Its not about who has the most elite uber loot at the level cap like WoW is, its about being a living, breathing character that is helping play a major role in the greatest fantasy ever.

If you play a few hours a day, do most quests, go to most instances, level your professions then you will be 50 in 2 months. Some of us are near 50 within 2 weeks. Maybe they 'rush' or they just play 10 hours a day.

Point is that you will hit 50 sooner than you might think. If there is not much endgame stuff then why is Turbine offering you a 150 dollar lifetime founder subscription ? Is that just a trap and will most of us be done with this game after 2-4 months ? I sure hope it won't so I , quite frankly , expect there to be some decent endlevel play or fast lvl 50-60 (or higher) content after a few months, just like in WoW.

Thanks to games like WoW most ex-mmorpg-players -expect- exciting endlevel content, you can't deny that.

I guess so. They already announced 1 raid by June and there is Ettenmoors. So, there is something already. Im not worried about it right now as it will take me a few weeks to get 50 anyway. I'll worry about it then.

Outside of Monster Play, crafting, instances, soloing, grouping and grinding, the update in June will bring us raid content. There is no shortage of end game content.

As for the comment from the forums, yes, the end game model will not be true to WoW, but it will have some similarities.
