Hi all,

I have just started playing SWG a few days ago and have a level 8 Jedi. Basically, finding any information about Jedis in SWG on the internet is quite difficult, because most of the stuff seems to be pre-NGE. So I thought I would ask here whether someone could tell me some simple stuff about them? Basically I would like to know- what sort of equipment should I buy for a Jedi? Should I look into buying new weapons as I level before getting my lightsaber? When exactly, and how, do I get a lightsaber? When can you chose to start following the light/dark side? And any other general stuff about how the character works would be great :)

Thanks

you think to much!

A long long time ago time in a galaxy FAR FAR AWAY there was a class of people that were bigger and harder and a lot move complex than most.

Unforunatly this was to much to bear for the flegling NGE kiddies to handle and they combined to change the world over night! and made this class in to just another class, infact a particualrly down trodden and underrated class.

For now just follow the legecy quests, you will be awarded your training lightsaber when your ready for it, after that you will have to craft your own, some time around lvl 30 i think.

Light/Darkside????? well i suppose is there kinda, but its more how you play your jedi than a path im afraid these days.

lvl 26 you will get your training saber... which sucks but i guess you will feel by that stage that you earned it and looks cool, by the time you are able to build your 1st gen look around for the best resources get a buff from a ent and head for a Township/Metro Reaserch City, which you should find easy then find inside the twon a weapon crafting station, this way you will always get most of the time the strongest saber for your lvl, also buy colour crystals from bazar much easier that way.

With your exp points you decide which path you take with dark and light powers although i would recomend no matter how you see yourself using some of your exp points for the healing in the light side.

And dont listen to anyone that may say you dont deserve to be a jedi, whether or not that is true you didnt personally change the game so that you could by pass the extremely hard work to become jedi.

Good Luck and happy hunting

What server are you on? If you are on Shadowfire send me a PM I can give you some help in game. As far as clothing goes you will get robes at lvl 20 I believe but you will have to loot them after that. (Next are Acolyte at lvl 40) and you will need help getting them. The best thing for you to do right now is enjoy the game and do the legacy quests.

Jedis are very easy to play... like Emjay said, just go through legacy. Occasionally, you'll get a weapon as a reward. Just pick whatever variation of a lance that comes along, and pick up any lance weapons that mobs drop, and you should be fine until level 26, when you get your first color crystal and lightsaber. Lightsaber crafting was a big tricky for me at first, since I had no idea as to how to get resources for it, but then I found a great store on Tatooine (whose coords I shall not divulge here, lest they be snatched up by countless unworthies), but if you're on Europe Far-Star, send Krenesa (my character) a pm, and I'll help you out. Also, if you're looking to become a sith, I've got a great guild for you. But on any server, just look for somewhat more experienced jedi. Both the light and dark side and almost always willing to help out noobs. As far as buying things, just buy... well, nothing, really. Jedi can't wear armor, except for armor specifically crafted for them, which is fairly rare, and is pretty ugly, anyway. Just wear your robes for the most part... I wear a bunch of clothes that boost my attributes more than my robes, but again... they just don't look as cool. But like I said: Jedis are very easy to play. Just go through the missions, and your character will unfold just as you want it to.
