I've been playing Lotro of a few days no and have a 12 minstrel but I'm getting kinda stuck for areas my level to go and quest in. I simply don't know where they are.

Is there a page/map/guide to what areas I should be questing in at any level?

It's been my experience that the quests are fairly linear, in that I mean, they send you to the next area you need to go to. As you progress through the various quest lines at some point the quest givers should be sending you down the road to another town or outpost where you will end up getting more level appropriate quests and moving along at a pretty decent pace.

At lvl 12 you will likely be transitioning between wherever you started and the town of Bree. So, if you started as an elf or dwarf, you will have moved through Erud Luin after beginning in Celondim (as an elf) or Thorin's Gate (as a dwarf).

If you rolled a hobbit, the Shire will have kept you busy until at least lvl 12 but the quests will now be getting thin and you may already be yearning to head for the bright lights of the big city.

And finally, if you rolled up a man, you will have spent your formative years in Archet before moving on to Combe, Staddle and the Chetwood and in fact, may already be in Bree!

In any case, The Brandy Hills, the Fields of Bree, (Southern and then Northern), The Old Forest and the Barrow Downs are the next places you will want to explore and fortunately for you, they all lay just outside the West Gate of Bree Town.

When you are done with the areas surrounding Bree, it will be time to head south for the Lone Lands, but that day is not today!

In the meantime, "Have fun storming the castle"!

Don't be in a rush. I leveled a little too fast. Spend some time do the quest. Watch your deeds and make sure you complete the ones for the area your in before you move on. It would be a shame to be one short (kill, area explored, ect..) and have to go back and try to remember where things are.

Thx I've managed to find Bree now and got some quests, finding things is always the problem but then again isn't it always that way with a new game :)

www.mehq.net has pretty cool dynamic maps of the map where you can look up NPC and POI locations. However, looking up on maps kind of take away the fun out of the game for me tho.
