Just trying to finish up the 30 quest, done with the 1st two parts and need to get the Wraps of Bertoxxulus still. I found Slavemaster Hern in the castle however, he is red faced a to me and kills me on site(figured I'd try it even with red face and died quick). I am a Dark Elf Wiz anyone know how to improve faction with Caer Siloth or what else I need to do?

I might be wrong... But I think it's the darkwood goblins. I think they're in Asealop's Wall... In a huge revine. Don't take my word for it. Just a guess.
Are you being attacked by adds when you tried to talk? I just find it funny that out of teh 3 walkthrough's I seen, they all say they a are KOS but slavemaster still talks to you. I don't know if you being attacked by adds would tic him off or not. My Wiz just got 25 so I'm not QUITE there yet. But I'm working on it.
They might do it, I too forget. The easiest way to find them: go to the little viallage along the road just south of DM, then go SW from there, not even half a zone travel. Fastest way to raise the faction: follow a higher level AoE Alchy n just slaughter them all.

I made the mistake of xp'ing on the Siloth fort with a group when I was about lvl 25-26....It ruined my faction with them. When trying to get into the castle now the nec can see invis and kills me. One time I made it through to the slavemaster and he was red face and did not talk to me just before one of the gaurds killed me.
Been killing the darkwood goblins in Aelsops Wall (N) and they give 1 faction point for the Siloth each. Sad to say though my faction after killing almost 100 goblins Sunday is only at about -850 now....think it's going to take a while!

You don't need to raise faction to do this quest. It will be alot easier, if your doing it solo, to raise it but not needed. You said he wouldn't talk to you just before you got beat down by a spawn. If your being attacked by a mob most NPC's won't talk to you. You just need help getting safe passage inside, and then some protection from adds while talking to him.
Its been awhile since I played but I'm pretty sure you can sneak into the castle with invis even if a nec spawn is in the front room. If you ease your way up past the two at the door and hug the wall to the left then you can usually make it in untouched. I would change the camera to 1st person mode to ensure that I was as close to the wall as possible. Once your in the courtyard wait til the hounds are away from you then break invis and talk to NPC as quick as possible.

I agree. I also agree I don't think most people will talk to you if you are being attacked. Of course if you could possibly get them White Face to you, you don't have to worry about being attacked, but that's kind of the scenic route.
