Sure everyone loves frodo and sam. I liked meeting and fighting with Radagast, and I hope the other wizards like Pallando and Alatar are included at some point as well. Some characters Id like to meet as well, and i cant remember which set of books they were in, are Celeborn and Imrahil. The great thing about Middle Earth is that there are sooo many characters and areas in the books and so far I like how Turbine has incorporated more than just the movie lore.

I hope they add more instances where you fight alongside other characters. Those always seem to be the most fun. Defending tresslebridge might be the best so far (im level 35).

not sure where your coming from with this one really as the game is purposely not based on the movies, but on the books, and due to matters of licencing cannot use any of the movie stuff anyway. as far as i know, when it comes to artwork its from the books or of that particular style, which is why the npcs etc do not look like the film chars, example legolas bears no resemblance to orlando bloom etc.

Yes I am sure Turbine has some leeway with the game's relationship to the film. The music for instance all though never identical to the film's (as far as I can tell) is very similar- I suppose the best way to base the game is on the words of Tolkien but taking into consideration how the films and other games portrayed aspects of the books and 'adapting' that to fit the way they want it. This way they maintain a true sense of both the books and, to a lesser extent, the films.

What game music are you saying is the sme as Concernig Hobbits? I don't spend much time in the Shire, so maybe you can tell me where I can hear it?

Oh, and as for the game and movie seeming similar, its because both draw from Tolkien's original works. Not just what's in the books, mind you, but his notes and original sketches. The movie was heavily influenced by many of the drawings that he did, including the Gate of Moria (nearly identical). So the movie and game both are very close adaptations of the same material, just like two different artists of similar style drawing the same house. The details are the same, just the overall look and feel are different.

I personally think Rivendell looks a lot like the movie version. Especially the architecture... which is great. The movies are one of the main reasons I bought this game.

On a side note, I ran from Archet to Rivendell while only Level 6. People said I was crazy, but I actually did it.

also, i'm pretty sure turbine does have a few rights to movie, considering some of the music in-game is the same as the movie. but like i said, that's not relevant, because as far as characters, plots, etc go, its all from the books.

That would actually be EA that holds the Movie rights...
