If i wanted to have a house, I'd be playin 2nd life or some such.
When I first started in EQ, I (mis)read somewhere that you needed to choose a safe camp spot, and assumed it meant that even tho I wasn't logged in, my ranger was still 'in-world' and could be attacked. So I would always run back from wherever I was to Qeynos and log out in the same room in an inn. It became 'my room'.
One day after hunting in BlackBurrow I ran back to qeynos and I was a bit miffed to find a couple of other toons hanging out in 'my' room. I felt violated somehow. And from then on, I used to camp in the wilds.....well when I say the wilds, I mean the guard tower by the entrance to WK. The guards said they'd keep an eye out ......
