Is it worth...Follow

Is it worth me buying SWG?

I played the trial, it was cool and everything although i couldnt leave the station. But, I have mixed reactions when asking whether to play or not.

Older players say the game is ruined now, whereas new players seem to love it.

Whats your opinion?

And also, does the game come with 30days free as other MMo's do?

Thanks

well you tried the trial you liked it. you couldn't or didn't leave the station sorry. but just take what you had on the station and enlarge it. i don't think the game is as fun as it once was, but it keeps me in there. there is plenty to do with the new beast master and all. my server has a pretty active population even if it's only a fraction of what it once was. the game is gonna cost 20 and it's about 15 or what ever it is a month to play. if you can aford it and want to see more then give it a try. after all you can allways quit after a month if it isn't what you wanted.

You get a free month.

Remember, however, you need to enter a credit card number, even if you don't plan on playing after that free month. You have to have a credit card or game card to create an account, if thats what youre thinking.

I got this game a week ago and I absolutely love it. Sure, it has its flaws, but, even coming from World of Warcraft, it has this great value to it, probably coming simply from playing int he star wars universe.

Also, if you buy the complete version, youll get an ATRT! (Only one per account, so make sure you use it on an account you plan on keeping).

Good luck, and have fun! If you want to join up with a fellow newb, my character name is Juliir, and I am on the Bloodfin server. /tell me.

I started dec 03 when it was the first version. I was really turned off by it because there was a god mode which made grouping pointless but some ppl liked it and you had to stand in line for an hour+ to be in godmode.

To master a proffesion was as simple as reading a macro guide online and then /AFK grinding the profession and mastering it in 3 days.

Before all that got implemented combat seemed fun on paper- but to appease the "combat is too fast!!!" crowd they implemented a godmode.

They say the community was all good back then but not from my point of view in dec 03. As a new player in 03, non-human/non-zabrak, I was ridiculed and always got insulted for being a trandoshan.

I was randomly insulted daily for not being a PvPer, for not playing with buffs (godmode), and for RPing a novice scout.

Everyone talks about "all the neat skills back then" but no one ever cared about them, they just all went for cookie cutter templates they read about online and most "skills" and professions were redundant.

The CU came which I found more interesting because you had to consider timing and cooldowns with your attacks- something the vets hated. Then came the NGE I was pist but got over that in a week once I realized I could kill Jedi with a spy, but once again to appease the "combat is too fast!!!" kids the jedi are now safe again..
