how many character slots are we aloud? is it like wow 10 per server 50 max? or eq2 6 characters only? or swg just 1 but u can unlock another later on?

5 per server is the max. Not sure on an overall max across servers.

I currently have 9 characters spread over 3 servers. 5 on Meneldor and 4 on various other ones, I forget which ones anymore tho. Not sure how many total you can have but I can't recall it was ever addressed offhand. I may start creating them just for grins n giggles to see.

My understanding is no hard limit on overall characters. 5 per server is the only restriction.

5 regular characters, but you can also have up to 5 monster characters (only one of any one monster class though) per server. So technically that is 10 per server!

I've got 10 on 2 servers. I don't remember them ever saying they would limit the number of toons you can have other than the 5 per server thing. which is a good thing since I get altitis pretty bad these days. I'm really happy they didn't use the model that SE did with FFXI and charge per slot, hehe.
