Why would I want my Hunter to know how to play the flute or the clarinet?? I'm at a loss here 
Ever heard of having fun? If you only want to grind/quest, then by all means do so...but if you pick up an instrument you can learn to play some rather nice melodies.
Things I sometimes play...
"What do you want to be when you grow up?"
"I want to be a unicorn!"
"Awww, why's that?"........
"So I can stab people with my face."

LOTR has a rather deep music system. Equip your girly flute 
then type /music to enter music mode. Then mash your 1-8 keys Shift and Ctrl change the notes also (Sharp/flat if you know anything about music notation) You can also use ABC notation but haven't tried it yet... keep remembering to find some song to try AFTER logging on.
