Switching ProfessionsFollow

#1 Jul 04 2007 at 4:04 PM Rating: Decent
Well,

I've taken a few days off from asking noob questions, So, I'm goin to make up for it with a REALLY dumb one.

When switching professions (Say, from Structure Trader to Munitions Trader) when I re-choose Profession, will it keep my current level?

Common sense tells me yes, but I'm currently like level 30 something, and don't want to have to grind that shiz again

And after some searching at SWG Main Site, I cannot find a straight answer.

Again, thanks for putting up with my noobishness.

Keep those noob questions coming Arrilth. I feel superior now to EmJay who believes he holds nothing to him. (Yay!)

Yes. Experience is seperated in three categories. Combat, Crafting (Traders), and Social (Entertainer).

Traders who Respec into another Trading division (Ex. Munitions to Domestics) will keep their current Level. Only thing that changes are the Profession specific schematics.

However, just to let you know. You will NOT retain levels when switching Trader > Entertainer or Trader > Commando.

You will however be able to pick up where you left off in any Combat Profession or Entertainer.

well, its all good and such that I am able to switch profs, but I ran into an issue.

The ENTIRE reason I switched was to make some armor for my freakin commando.

BUT

I need Reinforced Fiberplast Panels, and my server (Kauri) is SPARSELY populated (and that is being generous)

I cannot find these damn things ANYWHERE......

So, if anyone has a tailor on Kauri, whisper me in-game (Forlorn, or Inarus)

Thanks.

You can start an alt thats is an armorsmith, or you can start some toons in a more populated server like one of mine and I will give you some of my excess....I have waaaaaay too much at times...too much is better than not enough is my motto.

Those that call for greatness will usually go unheard.

But those called forth to greatness will always be remembered.

Those calling themselves great usually are not...those considered great by others without pointing out thier qualities are usually the greatest.
