I haven't played swg in almost 3 years and was considering coming back...can anyone answer some questions for me?

1. Are old characters ever deleted from the servers. ie will my old chars still be there?

2. I've been trying to find info on becoming a jedi and it seems its a lot easier...do you not need to unlock a FSCS anymore? If not, how do you become one now?

3. I played WoW for over 2 years and loved it but eventually unistalled it because of Burning Crusades was retarded...did SWG go down the drain like WoW did?

welcome back....take a look at the "What do you still like about Star War Galaxies?" thread:D*shamless plug* There is alot of the opinions of what is good about the game

1. Friends that quit over a year ago were able to reclaim the toons. Try it or even contact SOE...that kind of data from what I have seen gets archived. So if you like your toons...go get them.

2. You can choose Jedi at toon creation

3. That is a matter a widely differing opinion...my best advice and most will agree download the tiral and give it a try. I like it...but I'm Post-Whatever;) player.

If anything....I want you to do one thing....have fun.

thanks for the post, i wound up just reactivating my account...whats $15 anyways? lol...unfortunately launchpad is estimating 10 hours to do all the patch updates...and thats off a T3 connection :( so looks like i wont be back till late tonight

ouch.... i would have advised trying the free trial before forking out 15 dollars on a game that you might dislike, theres a lot wrong with the game at the moment, though it has improved a great deal from its initial NGE state. its best to find out for yourself whether the game is worth playing or not, especially with all the other games out there that are currently available. still, 15 dollars isnt a fortune, so its not a lot to lose :D
make sure to pick a server with an active population though, currently those are Bloodfin, Ahazi, Bria and Chimaera, or at least those are the main ones these days ;D
