Do Alt's count towards kinship minimum?Follow

#1 Jul 22 2007 at 2:04 PM Rating: Decent
I was wondering if alternate characters count towards the minimum requirement of 6 members to make a kinship, have 5 people now who I all know in RL and was wondering if one of us made an alternate character and added him, if it would count for us having 6 members.

Iirc, it has to be accounts specifically to form a kinship, not alts.

Sorry mr. mod, but alts do count, before I hopped servers, my guild was me +4 of my alts + 1 RL friend and we were fine.

Theres no need to rate him down...just wait until he mutes himself someday. That will be reward enough.

My first thread shortly after he became a mod was along the lines of "How long til he mutes himself?" So there's always home Smiley: grin

"muting" myself or accidentally banning myself are not likely to happen.

When I founded my Kinship, there was no requirement for more than 1 person.

I called it "There is no Fifth Star"

;)

Sorry I never got into LoTRo, but I figure you all owe me 5c for founding the best Kinship EVER!

My guild:

In my 20's someone asked if I would join his guild so he could meet the requirements as he was short a few people. He even told me I could quit in a few days once he got more to join if I liked.

Wanting to help him out I said OK. Two days later the guy quits the game and makes me guild leader as I was the highest in level at the time he quit. The guild has about 30 members.

My first act was to make everyone an officer. Post on the daily message to the guild to have everyone recruit "Grow or Die".

It's now almost 2 months. There are still 20 people in the guild no one has played for 2 to 3 weeks. Some players have not played for a month. I am the only active player that is playing the game looks like everyone else quit, playing other toons, or moved to another server.

So here I sit guild master of a guild with no other members. I kinda hate to dissolve the guild. If anyone playes on Brandywine give "Ouan" a tell. I can make you guildmaster and you can do what you want with it. (I usually play 7pm to 10pm MST USA Mon.-Fri.) I dinged 47 last night and are getting alot of invites to join guilds that are raiding as my loremaster skills are desired. At this time I do not have the desire to be the main force to do what it takes to grow, sustain, and lead a successful guild.

So it is possible to have one active player and still have a guild. The other day the guild ranking increased because it had been around a certain number of days. As long as the toons in your guild are still associated with active accounts whether they are playing the toons they created or not they must count toward the minimum requirements necessary for a guild to exist.

And I'm sure someone thanks you for that Smiley: sly , but Darq would have started it anyway I'm sure. But I think the people wanted to know what makes the kinship last. I started a kinship with an alt of mine just to see what it was like in the creating process and if you go 24 hours without meeting the MINIMUM member amount (which is 6) it will be disbanded.

We owe you 5c but you dont play so all fee's are due to me.
