Easiest way is to send a /tell to yourself like this :


/tell <name> ;loc

And that is a semi-colon. (;)

Currently, there is no mod that puts these permanently on your screen like the ones you can get in WoW.

The reason for sending it in a /tell is to not annoy other players.

Each co-ordinate will have N,S,E,W on them which is quite simply North, South, East and West.
They will also have a number, which is a distance.

A typical co-ord printout would be :

30N.30W

How do they relate to the map?

I think by now its assumed that 0.0 is central to the map you are on, and then the co-ordinates relate from that point, ie 30N.30W would be up and left of that central point on the map.

How far is 30?

I really have no idea, I don't tend to use them, but I am sure its not paces.

Beats me, but what I find even worse, people in game who don't seem to even read the quest descriptions.

I play with a group of RL friends, who have made me the "official" quest reader. Not sure how I got this job. So I started making stuff up, totally unrelated to the quest. I started making it more and more outrageous until they finally caught on. They got the point.
