Ship LandingFollow

Well, for about several hours now it seems (on the "First Pilot Mission" quest), I've been up in the air trying to get back on my feet and I can't seem to get anybody to ask me for any kind of permission to land.

Whenever I click shift+c, the NPC on the Tarasaii space station will tell me I'm too far away or something, but I can't seem to get anywhere that will get me to have them be able to land me either. I am going next to a place that looks like a boarding dock and asking them to let me land but I'm just literally not getting anywhere.

It says in the booklet to target the space station, fly over to it, press c or shift+c, talk to the station master (can't seem to find him), request to land, and do so. All these I've do as far as I can tell and I'm not getting as close as even asking me...

Is there an exact position I have to be in to comm with the NPC or am I not pushing the buttons right?

fly withing i think 1000m of the station for the place you want to land, target the station, hit whatever command they say to talk to the guy at a station, and he should ask yuo what you want.

cant say if the stuff there is differant, since ive never done the noob station flight stuff

click Alt and menu button will appear and the last option on the list is like home port option or something I think.....click that and it will hyper space you back to the SP where you started the mission...

hehehe..I remeber those days too... I just stumbled upon that fine feature a few months back when I returned to the game...I remember just steering my ship towards a station and leave to go make breakast or something cause it was like 15k meters away..... man...space grinding is still super boring:P

it takes like a minute for hyperspace to kick in, there will be a % counter telling you when it engages..

NOOOOO!!!! Well, it appears that my ship is really really dead. Now, instead of being in the air without and clue, I'm actually stuck in the air without a clue unable to move or use my weapon! Can I call somebody get me from here?

Press shift and esc and exit the game and start over..it will bring you back to the starport, you may have to repair your ship though...find repair tools for all your ship parts at venders, you'll have to find each certain repair tool for each part of the ship thats damaged..boosters, reactors etc....

if his ship needs repairs, it should just be a matter of talking to a space station and getting repairs, ive never once used a ship repair kit
