Future of LotroFollow

Hey, im not actually playing this game yet, but am definitly thinking about getting it soon. Just had a quick question as to what you guys think will happen in future expansions.
First off: Equipment. How is it that Turbine expects to create better and better items as expansions are realesed? Think about it: would Gondorian armor really be better than ancient Fornost armor? Could any type of Rohan weapon be better than any current item?
Second: How much of the Middle Earth terrian does Turbine plan to realease? Eriador, Rohan, then Gondor? Or can we expect to see Eriador, Moria, Mirkwood, Harad, Rohavian, etc...?
Anyhow, this game looks excellent and I plan to get it real soon. Thanks.

Its hard to predict the future of mmo's but its all definitely a possibility, Turbine is always planning on new content for the game such as chicken play haha.
So keep your hopes of for sure, and the game as of now is great, I havent noticed any bugs so far, I'm a lvl 20 champion and I have an 11 Minstrel on Landroval server.

Great game man, get it =)

Hmmmmm few thoughts. Ive played WoW for over a year now, and when LOTRO came out decided to buy it aswell. After playing for a week or so i had a few thoughts....

Firstly, no argument, the graphics on LOTRO is damn good.
BUT ive been having some lag. Its not related to my internet connection which runs games such as WoW and CS Source fine. Its not my graphics card either...an X800 GT ATI. Ive got plenty of RAM and my processor is fine. Which makes me think its server related! Possibly, seeing as the game is fairly new they havent got around all the bugs and fixes etc.

That annoys me! I HATE LAG!

Is it just me or you experiancign the same problems?

(Also when casting the Minstrel should not be able to move! - It just looks pants!)

How much RAM do you have? I think most folks will recommend 2 GB for this game. The X800 GT is 2 generations old, so you won't be able to run this game at the highest graphics setting. I had this card before I upgraded to the GeForce 1950. With the X800 I was able to run at high settings, with the 1950 I can run at Ultra-high, both with no or minimal lag.

Keep in mind that WOW is much less demanding graphics-wise. I was able to play it on a laptop with a 32 MB Radeon 9000 Mobility adapter.

You may have to experiment with some of the graphics setting to get the optimal performance. Others here may be able to give some more specific advice, since I'm at work right now. Smiley: wink

I started with an Athlon XP-1700+ unit with 1Gb of RAM and a Radeon 9600-Pro vid card. Performance was marginal but playable for everything but roaming around in Bree and watching the video clips. I recently upgraded to a dual-core Athlon 3800 with 2Gb of DDR-2 RAM and a X1300 video card, and the game runs beautifully with viewing range set to max, even in Bree. (Kinda nice to see the hills of the Barrow-Downs from the West-Gate!)
