Breath.

Ok, now try going to http://forums.lotro.com/forumlist.php and checking thier tech support there.

I'm sorry to say but it sounds like you have a corrupt *.dat file (not uncommon). You should run the installer over what you already have and see if that fixes the issue. They are going to no doubt say uninstall the whole thing and start again, which is also a good idea, but I understand thats not what people want to do.

I would like to know how you installed though, did you use the buddy client download? Or do have the actual discs? That will help in finding out what caused the problem.

Have you been able to play before? Is this your first time?

I dont know why you cant log in to http://myaccount.turbine.com because the site is up and running, even without logging in to it.

Few things here.

What browser are you using?
What kind of firewall/antivirus are you using (Norton "Internet Security" is notorious for stuff like this)
When did the problem start?
Have you cleaned out your temp files/cookies recently? (If not, do so. A corrupt cookie can prevent you from accessing sites)
Have you run a virus/trojan/spyware scan recently?
For the firewall, if you have one, have there been any recent changes to its settings that you know of?
How many other people use your computer?
What operating system are you running and are you logged in as an administrator on it?

As an aside, if you don't have them, I would advise getting Spy-bot, Ad-Aware and HiJackThis! to help keep malware off your box. That can cause connectivity issues such as what you are detailing.

Do you have any programs like PeerGuardian installed?

I use it for its ability to block spyware/adaware IPs with its spyware IP list. However, if you leave the other lists on it will block all edu gov and corporate IPs, including turbine, which may be why your game is not working and why you can't connect to their webpage.

For the MS firewall, you may want to go to the control panel for it and make sure both of these are added to the exceptions list:

http://www.turbine.com
https://myaccount.turbine.com/ - this is actually a secure page so don't forget to make this one https.

If you need help on doing this, here is the link to the MS website on it.

For your cookies, cache and temp internet files, I would advise a program called CCleaner. Great little app and cleans a ton of stuff for you.

Before I forget, what antivirus suite do you use?

I'd also recommend eitehr Avast or AVG for an antivirus for the machine. Both work rather well and both are free. Not saying your issue is virus related but an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure my grandmother used to say.
