Comp not workingFollow

My computer does not play any souns for SWG, and yes my speakers are turned on, the sound is enabled in options, and my speakers are pluggged in correctly. Anyone have any ideas?

i don't even use my sound in game so your not missing anything. i use my windows media player and listen to music.

have you checked sound is enabled in the options on the launchpad?

also there is another check box in the options in game.

And of course on your computer its self.

Im assuming that your computer has sound for everythign else so that rules out it being your computer.

And if you have it enabled in the game options, that only leaves the launch pad options. Sometimes it that option can operate seperatly from the ingame options, dont ask me why, just look at it as it is SOE's will.

Update your sound drivers....remember they patch mainly games on driver updates.

I just tried to log on and it told me I don't have directx on my machine any more...when I was just playing last night...sup wit dat?

it's not detecting your directx software. Sorry to inform you you have bigger issues than SWG not playing sound if thats the case. Try reinstalling directx 9.xx whatever the latest one before 10. But aftef that error I would go with an OS reinstall, but that just me.

Actually no sound on my comp works.

And sound is enabled on launchpad and in the actual options page. And whats an OS reinstall and how do i update my directx software?

Well you have to work out why you have no sound from your computer.

I'm guessing by your answer you dont.
what windows are you running in XP or Vista?

Also, check the cat hasn't stepped on the the mute button if you have one on your speakers like I do. Took me a while to figure that one out when I lost sound.
