End Game ReviewFollow

I've been hearing from many people/reviews that LOTRO's end game sucks.. anyone want to argue otherwise?

Rate the following and explain:
-High up equipment (And does it look an good? Plus in the lore of Middle Earth, there are no legendary items, like in WoW, so what will Turbine give gamers?)
-skills (does not look like there are that many - 20 per class)
-instances/raids
-Enemies (If we wont see Balrogs, then what high level enemies will we? Saruman?)
-overall end game content

Thanks for any advice.

No. I have no reason (and no need) to argue with you (or anyone else) over whether or not this game is worth playing.

If you are looking for a reason NOT to play LOTR, you've found it! Play because you love the world and want to spend time there. Or don't play because you do not. There are plenty of other choices for your gaming nickel and more coming all the time.

Regarding the LOTRO end game... It is the journey and not the destination that matters.

How far into the book is the lore of the game now? I'm not to 50 yet, only 35, but it seems to me there are lots of places yet to see. I do not think the true end has been written/released for the game yet. Game is only 4+ months old isn't it? I expect to get at least a good 2 years out of my lifetime subscription :)

Personal review from me is the game is very good if you want to immerse yourself into the world of Middle Earth. I didn't race through the book, and I wont be racing through the game either.

Just curious what the people who said the end-game sucks wanted or expected.

To give you an idea of how fare the game has gone in terms of the books/movies, the fellowship hasn't left Rivendel yet. Only Turbine could give an exact date, but it isn't hard to guess a rough date. The council seems to have been held, since Frodo talks about having to do something in a quest involving him, which is likely taking the ring to Mordor. Since they haven't left yet, that gives a rough time period for where the current "ending" of the game is, and there is still a LOT of world left not put in.

See, the biggest problem with trying to compare the end game in LotRO is the fact that the game is still so new. If you compare it to the end game of an already established game like WoW or FFXI or EQ2, of course it is going to suck in comparison. But, back when those games were still new like LotRO is, guess what? They sucked too and weren't very flushed out either.

When Everquest started, its end game sucked, too. You could raid Nagafen/Vox once a week or sit in Lower Guk and perma-farm Yaks and FBSS's. Today, EQ is still the gold standard in end-game raiding.

I'm not saying that LoTRO will ever be the standard in raiding but, as others said, the game is new yet.

Yeah like others said the game is new, and is already fantastic, there is cool gear out there to get, and monster play is a definite must in my opinion, I love it, such epic battles =D
