They dont use trial accounts for the most part(for example they could be tied to an active players account who's mains on another servor and when theyre not online the spammer gets logged in on another spare toon slot)....There has been constant posts on the main swg forums about differant ways to deal with them.
Restrict macro's to paying accounts... remove the ability to spam, remove macro's, kick afk players from the servor after 10mins, GM's travelling servors and flagging spammers attackable to everyone. Personal favourite, sit a level 1000 rancor outside eisley sp that attacks anyone that repeats the same lines of text 5 times in say 10 mins. Those and a lot more similar ideas. (uncheck the box for viewing chat from afk players in the options can help cut down the spam to a certain extent).
What youve really got to ask yourself is why are they still here when there has been numerous ideas to combat them.
Take soe's stance on players that found a way of removing them with the treasure map npc's themselves... They classed that as "griefing" and made it suspendable or even bannable.
Is it because from SOE's perspective there paying for the accounts?
