Evil or Good Jedi?Follow

there are no "good" or "bad" jedi, though there are light and dark powers on the expertise trees.

ok, theres no "evil" jedi, there is definetly bad jedi

if the game was sticking to canon, or whatever you call it, then stormtroopers and any imperial affiliated players would be obliged to attack and kill on sight, any Jedi, good or bad, regardless of faction affiliations. unfortunately the game bears no relation to the films. like many things in the game currently unfortunately.

Yep, i tried a few times to put this across on the jedal official forums.

Renamed vis to "order 66"(post was the same name), basically it was open sandbox jedi content, hunted by npc's first, then after fighting back for a good amount of time (basically killing the last elite that shows up) your on the terms.

It only triggered if you drew a sabre or used certain force powers. wore robes etc infront of stormtroopers(in non player cities), So unless you where stupid enough to get drawn into revealing your jedyness it wouldnt apply. Wasnt old vis, no-exp loss and Get out clauses along the way (just got harder the higher the level of alert, as it would) just incase you where doing a mission etc. Fit in with innate armour as well.

What where the replys i got?

"were no longer alpha" (smugglers do this and there not alpha... they get chased)

"Should only be for light jedi" (not taking into account jedi are jedi, not "sith" as this game is.

"it should also apply to rebels" True from a cannon point of view it should. BUT in this game rebels and imperials are the two pvp factions. What that would lead to is grief on a large scale by imps... numbers would dwindle on the rebel side's and you have (more than it is now) unbalanced pvp.

"i dont agree with anything that's forced pvp"... there was that many ways out that unless you pushed it all the way to the last boss npc it wouldnt be pvp...aside from the fact what i'd set out allowed you to use mindtrick to get out of it AND the affected npc's wouldnt be affected for a while. (as well as other ways).

Jedi are more interested in the FR system... something that basically any servors LJO and DJO has there version of now ingame.

That and "we need more robes"... something that shouldnt be in the game to this extent... its not pre GCW when they where police and the robes where basically uniform lol
Wheres yoda's robes? wheres lukes? wheres the stupid idea that robes are defense and not the jedi's ability to "use the force".

Safe to say after seeing the many posts and others on the board... i would actually agree to jedi culling on a massive scale lol.

Well by following the movies.

ONCE UPON A TIME IN GALAXIES..

Obi won was a pre-cu jedi... spent most of his time on tat grinding or helping newbs.Through the CU he had become disenchanted with the game in general, the inflated economy etc. The thing that pushed him over was watching one of the new players he helped find his feet, a guy called annakin skywalker fall to the darkside. That and the rise in jebays. Stayed around till the early days of the nge, blue glowy status and all but left for reasons unknown and never to returned.

Annakins skywalkers story is a little more complex

Pre-CU Annakin always wanted to be a jedi but found the grind too hard for him. impatiant he wanted an easy way out...His friend obi told him to be patient... half the fun is gaining it for yourself, the journey to get there and the fullfilment it brings. Now around the time of the CU he met a "politician" player called palpatine. This guy told him of another way...The dark side. He could buy credits and even powerlevel his toon to jedi with non of the hassle involved. It was also a service he could provide. Now annakin being the naive soul he was couldnt resist. He decides to take his new friend up on his offer... Even after all his real friends like obi warned him of the dangers of following that path. He wanted to be a jedi at all costs. No matter what the consequences where.

So after selling his soul, he became the jedi he always dreamed of. One in a long line of misguided souls that palpatine had convinced.. who's power grew and grew... across many galaxies. Sure the economy is in tatters but he was rich!

Annakins fate was less fortunate. He had his power and all the wealth he desired.(at the cost of his respect and his friends) He was always rubbing his old friends faces in it... "look at my l33tness... "oh youve not got any of this l33t stuff!"... "whos the real jedi!!!"
But it was very shortlived. His powers where taken away and his character no more. By this point he'd pissed off obi won to breaking point, he'd had enough and reported him when he'd witnessed him constantly griefing players that where trying to do it the right way on mustafaar. He took the high ground and sent anni a tell saying "youve'd done it to yourself"

Anni was heartbroken... all that power taken away! all the money he'd spent! Who did obi-won think he was and what gave him the right to do this! whats an eula?

After a while the galaxy changed forever... he recieved an email from his friend and mentor palpatine... he told him of the "NGE". He became interested. Palpy filled him in on the details (jedi as a starting proff!) and he decided to return... vengeance would be his.

He rolled a new toon. As a powerfull dark jedi called "Darth Vader" (he exploited lava fleas all the way to 90 thanks to palpys tip). He would have revenge on all players. Triple proffed jedi,bh and medic... (for cheating death something a mere "jedi" couldnt). The "true" jedi would pay... and there was plenty of naive new players that would turn for his masters profit. If not he could grief the hell out of them... he was l33t, hax and had the money to buy whatever he wanted. He become the scourge of the galaxy... all was good.

Now all this time annakin had a real life son... who had a toon called leia and who started playing pre-cu. He'd seen his father play before with his friends obi etc. Wanted to join in as his dads love for jedi and their ways had been something he also liked.

Now his father stopped playing not long after becoming the jedi that he always wanted. Whenever he asked him about it he alway got angry... He even tried asking obi but he wouldnt tell him either and always changed the subject.(who by then kept himself to hiself).He'd wanted to be a jedi to play with is father but since he had left he was content playing various differant combat proffessions. He' alway's fancied making a domestics crafter and when the nge hit he made a new toon called luke.

All was good until one day he saw his old freind obi being greifed by a dark jedi called Darth vader. Obi would normally just brush off or /addignore this kind of stuff, the insults where only along the lines of "now i am the master". This really seemed to get to obi won. Who unlike him got drawn into a duel and lost. He sent luke a tell saying "thats it i'm done with this game... may the force be with you luke". Now upset by this and angry at this player vader. He swore to avenge obi and respecced to jedi.

At the same time he became aware of familiar noises and laughter coming from his fathers room... So he goes to investigate and is shocked with what he saw. His father was not only playing swg again but was crouching over the corpse of obi with a corpse humping macro screaming "pwned-noob". Vader was none other than his father! He stayed out of sight and witnessed his father sending someone called palpatine tells saying "ROFLMAO NOOB GOT HIS *** HANDED TO HIM" which got a reply of "you have done well my young apprentice".

luke reeled at his fathers actions and consoled himself in leveling up his jedi.

He grinded in secret with the help of one of obi's old friends that also witnessed obi's demise. Obi's old master and friend yoda... He helped him grind luke all the way to a level 90 jedi... All the while luke's identity was still unknown to his father.

Yoda taught him the truth of what happened to annakin. How palpy fits in and all the details. Luke rushes off and decides to confront him... He finds vader outside eisley sp duelling newbs.. and notices palpy emoting evilly behind.

So he decides to challange his father. After numerous insults he finally accepts. Luke puts up a brave fight but cannot come close to defeating his fathers sploiting and gets incapped. This very same time he recieves a tell from an eq2 player called ben kenobi saying "use the force luke"... This spurs him on to run into his dads room and call him an exploiting hacking greifing idiot and to come and see what he's become.. Intrigued Darth follows his son into his room and see's the look of dissapointment on his face...then turns to his sons monitor and see's his own toon crouched over his sons incapped toon... (db and corpse hump macro-interuptus).

Annakin looks at his sons chat log.. its filled with "Strike him down my young apprentice"... and similar crap from palpy in spatial

Was that really him? Was all the l33tness worth this? how could he have been so wrong?...without a word he goes into his own room and fills out a detailed report containing information on palpatine his various nefarious deeds and sends it.

He'd lost sight of what made him want to be a jedi in the first place... and his friends. But most of all his sons respect.

Wasnt all bad.. luke got the trip to disneyland he always wanted, and last anyone heard palpy had moved on to second life as a virtual pimp. Either that or wow.
