I've played through the demo 3-4 times now.
It's going to be an amazing game.
I've played its demo more than I have Blue Dragon.
Don't get me wrong, Blue Dragon is going to be a bad-assed game. Eternal Donata on the other hand is going to ******* rock. I can hardly wait for it to come out.

Did they do a remake of River Raid yet?

I thought it was a bit kidish for me. Blue Dragon was neat, but seeing the videos over and over again got old. Interesting to see what they are like at release. I was looking forward to more games like this, but now that they are coming out, I'm not sure I really wanted to play them.

I wish that you could see your enemy before you moved, and not haver them off-screen, it broke the game for me. Other than that the concept is neat.

I remember trying to convince my friend that how pokemon should be done, turn based, actual fighting.

There's some debate going on as to if it will be released on the PS3 or not. On Bandai's website, for around an hour, the list of platforms had changed to show Playstation 3, but has since been edited. I wouldn't mind seeing this game come out for PS3, the videos of it look amazing.

So I picked it up last night.
It's a very beautiful game. The character design is very creative IMHO. The story seems pretty interesting. But dear lord, am I playing Xenosaga? There's 5-10 min of game play, followed by a 30 min cutscene. Seriously. I logged about 2 and a half hours of gameplay in last night, and I think I only played about 30 of those minutes.
I wouldn't be suprised to find that the game designers shared similar staff with Xenosaga.
I'm going to keep playing it. The extra long cut scenes have taken away from the fun too much. Not yet.
I really do like the battle system too, so we'll see.

You can change the camera around in the released game before you begin your turn to get a look at the whole field. I can't remember if you could do that in the demo or not.

I dunno.
So far it's pretty much like playing an interactive narrative with horrible voice acting.
It damn near makes up for it with the battle system. I really enjoy the way they merged real time and turn based.
