i use to play swg i quit when the messed it up with the combat upgrade i wanna start playing again but i have 2 questions. is it still fun and is there alot of pvp, and also if i download the 14 day trail will i only be able to play the tutorial

No. The trial is more than the tuturial. You can Finish the tutorial in a day and spend the 13 days left of the trial doing missions in Mos Eisley or doing what ever you want except there is a limit on how much you can type to people, chat. And you can not lay down deeds or use any of your housing lots.
Give it a shot though...It is getting better
