So I just got done fighting mordirith for the first time, and had a pretty decent experience. We got through all the waves with no problems. But after he regenerates all his life, he gives a crap load of dread even with a token. Im the GRD, and died within the first 15 seconds and the MNST didnt have her combat rez up. So there im thinking I need a captain in the group no matter what for Mordirith. But here is my questions.

After he regens, and you fight him for the second time, the floor lights up and all that. I was watching a video and they moved him on the other platform from when you first enter the room. Will this not reset him? And what exactly does that pillar of light that comes from the floor do? Does it just add more dread and you need to fight away from it?

Also, is there any strategies when your fighting him? Anything specific you need to know about? Also, does he drop anything else that is good besides the Elder Staff and the helm?
