please read all this FULLY BEFORE answering.
is it possible to do first person rendering? NOT first-person view. rendering in first person is when you can see your character's arms, legs, etc while in first person. zooming in all the way with the mouse/keyboard DOES NOT do this, therfore it does NOT answer my question.

thank you :)

in eq2 and vanguard, it defaultly can't do it, but modifying the ini files causes the game to think it's in third-person, even tho it's in first. that causes first person rendering. i take it nothing like this has been found yet?

Actually 1st person means as the charter sees....does not nessisarily mean you are going to see arms and legs. That is just the popular dipiction that the game makers use. Second....it you want the shooter feel....play a shooter....this isn't one of those. If you want a SW shooter there are many out there...just pick one. This game...you have to think at least a little. Not press the shoot faster I win button. I play shooters while I'm waiting for this one to come online during updates BECAUSE they don't take much to get into.

first-person means VIEW, yes, but look again, i said first-person RENDERING.

but anyway, try vanguard or everquest 2. both can do firts-person rendering

you really wouldn't want it in this game if you plan on doing combat. in pvp most people try to get a wide view of the action. even in pve you stil would like to see what is going on all around you. if you were playing like in a shooter moode being able to see in front of you and have to turn to see around you, then you would be at a poor disadvantage. as was said eariler if you want a shooter play a shooter but for this game unless your a ent or a crafter it just doesn't work.
