Where do you all get your beryl shards at? I'm a GM jeweler and haven't been able to find for weeks.

This has been a hot topic on the official boards.

There were a few level 42-45 droppers in Tal Bruinen that mysteriously stopped spawning. What has been gleaned is they were not working properly (i.e. spawining in the same campable locations too often) so they were pulled. Price in AH dropped considerably (400sp) but now prices are back up above 1gp.

You can still get them off other signature mobs scattered around Middle Earth. Someone may be able to scrounge up the link to the dropper list. I'll edit this if I find it again. Most often these sites are camped by gold-sellers so getting one has become a pain.

I think there are some things planned for book 12 in regards to shard droppers.
If they are going to continue to have them drop from signatures, they need to make them spawn in random spots. I would prefer a small percentage drop from RANDOM mobs above a certain level. That way the gold-sellers could not easily corner the market.

Once again we can thank the gold sellers and people who buy from them.

Once again the developers have found a way to penalize evryone for the actions of a few.

Once again crafting gets the shaft.

Well I was able to get 5 or 6 shards from those mobs and it was bit rediculous the way they spawned so I am glad they pulled the plug on them. They ARE trying to fix the situation so I am going to wait and see.

I will not be buying any shards at 2gp and no one else should either. Otherwise the gold-sellers will get what they want: an inflated economy where gold buying is too tempting.

I have a feeling they haven't pulled all the multi spawning shard droppers. It just gets a little too suspicious when you see that almost all the beryl shards in the AH are being sold by only 2 or 3 people.

And no, I won't buy them at the prices they're charging.

Not all were pulled, just the 3 or 4 that were in Tal Bruinen.

There are several that spawn elsewhere, like the Dourhand guy in Misty Mountains. I managed to get him once a few weeks ago but usually he is camped 24/7.

It's so sad, I've been fighting a pro-sharder for a week now, I can't beat him for anything. He's always selling 6-10 shards and it drives me nuts, I can't bring myself to using *shadow tactics to kill him off.

*this is where you grab mobs that can heal and bring them over to help him.
