AT-RT Lava flea and varactyl deeds...10 milFollow

These must be dropping like crazy, ive seen numerous toons selling them... wait... it cant be farmers can it? Dont tell me theyve found a new way to accumalate credits that doenst require a grind?

Now the question is how does this make money? These items are what you get from the complete edition dl right? That means there's paying SOE more than the equivalent of 10mil ingame credits for them(compared to their own gold prices, which i admit i dont keep track of). Which if thats the case SOE stand to make a considerable amount per item.

OR the account keys they get them from are hacked.(If anyone can think of an alternative then i'd like your input lol)

Now its easy to see them at work. Differant toon, same place, same spam. Ive watched new toons drop from the shuttle, go to where the spammer is then have enough time to trade the spammer items and go (LD).These spammers are differant, theyre atk.

What ive also seen is people buying from them. Unlike buying credits from a dodgy website and facing your account being banned, these on the surface appear legit. First one i saw for that price i was tempted, i know a few other people where. Until i clicked when i saw another toon spamming the same crap, same place.

Now my motives arnt that i had a market on AT-RT, lava flea and varactlyl deeds and im being undersold.

Its that by giving these BASTARDS any of your money, no matter how good the deal seems hurts the game in general. All that stuff that you see thats now selling for ridiculous prices? Thats down to credit farmers and people buying credits. Giving them cash in anyway adds to that. Its not like there's a wealth of crafters to balance it out either.

If you really need these items, get your lava flea/varactyl custom made from a BM. If you really need a AT-RT drop the cash on a second copy of SWG (potentially running it as a second account free for a month). That or buy one from a vendor as im sure the prices will have dropped.

You can get these things with game expansions...what your probably seeing is newbies or people who aquired from newbies selling this stuff for the credits.

Well if you get the expansions seperate, the Varactlyl is still listed as the ROTW reward. So im guessing the lava flea is for TOOW (The amidala shuttle from the complete is that no trade)?

If it was one random lot of spamming then yes it wouldnt be farmers. As its differant toons selling one time items over a long time period, then i doubt its anything else.

Is it coincidence that the amount of spammers selling credits after the warden program has dropped and in their place we now have these?

(btw i dont believe in coincidence).

No these are not newbies selling them, if so they would be sold, gone and moved on.

These people as spamming constently and i personally have seen the spammer the good doctor is talking about sell at least 4 or 5 times to people.

So if they noobs why do they have all these accounts to recive all these one time rewards??

But to humour you. Default toons, always in the same place using the exact same macro, selling items for 10 million that will be snatched up in no time, pretty much constently spamming since the weekend?

How do you suppose the "newbie" got the supply to keep business going?

P.S Not to be rude between me and G there is over 7 years game time, we know the diffrence between a noob selling stuff to get by and a scam of some discription. and have been watching the space for the last 4 days.

But Dr you really should tell the truth you do have a person issue here with said spammer, its your chair they keep stealing lol :P

If you go onto the bazaar you can find these deeds on player vendors. And some players have quite a few...could it be...that someone was buying them left and right back in day...just like some people are doing right now with buddy tokens or the new life day items?

Then they decided to clear their inventory.

Lets hope that the old "duplication trick" isnt back. That would hurt the economy.

The economy has never recovered from the credit dupe and item dupe. I was sure that SOE had fixed it long ago.

I have been playing since launch so I also have experience under my belt, but I would hate to jump to conclusions in this matter. Have you tried emailing this spammer and asking him where he got all the deeds?

I think I have seen this guy on Chilistra; my home server spamming im Mos Eisley, or is this happening everywhere?

Why the same 3 items time and time again? On differant servors? As pointed out, same macro text, differant toon same place? When have you seen all those 3 items on the bazaar/vendors sell for the combined price of 10mil?

You are aware of the warden program that SOE developed to combat the credit spammers that had reached epic proportions?... Doesnt take a major leap to see that because it was quite succesfull that they would branch out in other avenues. They tried the same tactic as in everquest and the like, random mails advertising the website. That didnt last long. The spammers have only stopped about a week ago, odd few still tried until the wardens silenced them. Then as they die off this happens.

Now theyre using a similar tactic to the toons that appeared on all servors buying veteran rewards (The ones that normally sold them on at vastly inflated prices). All these are means that can be used to farm credits, to then sell on ... They had the easy way taken from when the devs altered how the mission terms work. If theyre one thing its persistant.
