In the weeks that led up to my decision to try this game, I read a lot of posts from people that play other MMOs, recounting their experiences when they tried LOTR.
The main complaint was by far "it just didn't grab me like <insert MMO name here> did."
Others include "it's just too hard to progress past X level, all the quests require fellowships, and those are very hard to find".
Another is "I got my main to level 50 and did the raids. Now I can't bear the thought of taking another alt through the pain of getting it maxed".
I really like the game so far, but I am starting to see some of these things prove true. However, it seems like there is a good base of devoted players, and Turbine seems to really work hard to address issues as they come up. Considering the changes that I have heard already happened so far, and the professional polish that the game has in general, I'm very interested to see what they might do next.
If/when a major expansion comes out, what would be on your wishlist for things that would make this game better? Maybe give it more of a "WOW" (the word, not the game) factor.
